Visit Turin in one day

Visit Turin in one day. Here’s what you can visit if you have little time available. A fast and exciting itinerary to do everything on foot. Even in the company of your four-legged friend!

Visit Turin in one day? It can be done and it is certainly worth it. We organized a trip to Aosta and we decided to stop in Turin. The weather was not much but we managed to make a nice stroll. With us there was also Uffa and fortunately we could visit churches and buildings without any problem. It was enough to hold her in my arms or in her bag.

Visiting Turin in one day is possible and you can do everything on foot, just choose the right itinerary. If you have too little time I suggest the path that we did, including lunch, coffee and shopping !!!

Ready to visit Turin in one day?

Let’s start from the heart of the city, from the central Piazza Castello where the majestic Palazzo Reale overlooks. We started our visit right from here. The square was full of people, perhaps more than usual, because in those days it housed the Salone del Gusto 2018. We only entered the gardens, where Uffa was able to rest a little, lying on the fresh lawn. Immediately after we headed to Via Garibaldi because we were in a hurry to find a pharmacy for Uffa, which for a few days coughed like a seal! The street is pedestrian, full of shops where you can go shopping and even have a coffee break. We headed to the Sanctuary of the Consolata. Do not miss this masterpiece of Piedmontese Baroque style.

On the small Piazza della Consolata there is the Caffè Al Bicerin, a historic place where you can taste the Bicerin, the famous Turin drink made up of coffee, chocolate and milk cream. A true goodness!

From here you can walk to the Cathedral of Turin, where the Holy Shroud is kept. Unfortunately it is not possible to admire the holy relic but you can see the shrine where it is preserved. Protected by light and air. It is however an exciting visit.

You can visit Turin in one day, but you must also eat!

We have chosen a very nice little place, Poormanger where we eat excellent stuffed potatoes. Very tasty and tasty, I recommend it!

Next selected stage, the symbol of Turin; the Mole Antonelliana, a monument designed as a synagogue and which since 2000 has housed the National Cinema Museum. We wanted to go up with the panoramic lift to take some pictures from above but unfortunately it was broken!

We thus directed towards Piazza Vittorio Veneto. The largest square in Turin. Beautiful and very impressive. Overlooking the Po and crossing the Vittorio Emanuele I Bridge we arrive at the foot of the Turin hill where stands the Church of the Gran Madre, which according to some esoteric, is of fundamental importance because, right here, the Holy Grail would be buried.

And we right here decide to end our visit to Turin. Not only because we were very tired and very heated, but above all because we had to reach Aosta.

Surely we missed so many beautiful places to visit and then we will return soon, with more calm, even to finally meet live a friend blogger Paola!
