They are the shoes of my childhood, low, open behind, with laces or without! Today they are back in a new version: here are the tall espadrilles! But how do they wear them?
….. but above all to whom I copied the idea of tall espadrilles?
Once upon a time there was a 4-day mini-holiday in Malta, where Alice, a notorious and often fugitive contributor to this blog, also showed up.
The first thing I notice when we meet is that at the feet she has a delicious pair of tall espadrilles with pompoms on the sides, a gift from Mama Vilma.
Unfortunately Alix has a foot size incompatible with mine and it was therefore impossible for me to take away from her the delicious tall espadrilles that have therefore remained carved in my head like the Egyptian hieroglyphs …..
But sometimes luck helps the dreamers and here in Malta I found a pair of tall espadrilles that even if they do not have the pompoms go well anyway.
After doing my umpteenth compulsive purchase, I asked myself: ok but now how do I match them?
I realized that tall espadrilles are fine with everything, especially with the jeans cut or rolled up at the ankle, but they look great even with a miniskirt or a long skirt.
The important thing is that they get noticed!
In today’s look, I have combined them with the t-shirt of the (s) fashion collection and jeans with cuffs.
And because I am a sober little person, I embellished the outfit with the jewelry by Athena Gioielli!
Are tall espadrilles comfortable? Yest, they are if you take the right number. It’s like having slippers on your feet.
But if you do not like them in this model you can always opt for the traditional low model or those with wedge and laces.
So espadrilles never go out of fashion …..
