Ruco Line or Vuco Line?

Today, for the first time, I am wearing my new Ruco Line and I must say that they are just beautiful and they made me feel younger !But never mind my wrinkles and instead let’s talk about the various stories related to the shoes that you can see at my feet. As I said , in the late 90s and the beginning of the new millennium , the Ruco Line shoes were the most  popular ones.In those years , I lived in Washington DC, a very demanding city in terms of dress code .In clubs or discos it was not allowed to wear sneakers .So, the first time we went to a club , my trendy friend showed up with a pair of Prada sneakers and was thrown out …. and  us with him , the second time he sported Armani sneakers ….. and we were kicked out .The third time he put on  his Ruco Line and we thought he was really dumb…..But when the bouncer motioned for him to disappear , the Dema (that was his nickname) exclaimed with his usual dull R:  “Hey, these are Vuco LINE ! ” …….. And we got in!
From that moment on. it became our catchphrase……  a group of Italians in America ….. with Vuco LINE !

Oggi indosso per la prima volta le mie nuove Ruco Line e devo dire che sono proprio belle e che mi hanno fatta sentire più giovane!
Ma lasciamo stare le mie rughe e parliamo invece delle varie storie legate alle scarpe che vedete ai miei piedi. Come vi dicevo, tra la fine degli anni 90 e l’inizio del nuovo millennio, le Ruco Line erano le scarpe più ambite, erano le scarpe da avere.
In quegli anni, vivevo a Washington DC, una città molto esigente in termini di dress code.
Nelle discoteche o nei locali non era ammesso presentarsi in sneakers.
Così, la prima volta che ci recammo in un locale, il mio amico più trendy si presentò con un paio di sneakers di Prada e fu buttato fuori….e noi assieme a lui,-
La seconda volta si presento con delle scarpe da ginnastica di Armani…..e fummo buttati fuori.
La terza volta si mise le Ruco Line e noi pensammo che fosse proprio di coccio…..
Invece quando il buttafuori gli fece cenno di sparire, il Dema (il suo soprannome) esclamo con la sua solita R moscia: ma sono “VUCO LINE!!!!”……..ed entrammo!!!
Da quel momento divenne il nostro tormentone, un gruppo di Italiani in America…..con le VUCO LINE!

    Per quanto riguarda le Ruco Line, io le ho sempre odiate, ma il modello che indossi tu devo ammettere che non sono affatto male e che mi piacciono molto …. a volte bisogna ricredersi!!
