Itinerario ideale negli stati uniti

E così una settimana fa siamo tornati in Italia, oggi voglio condividere con voi quello che per me è l’ itinerario ideale negli Stati Uniti Occidentali, pronti a viaggiare con noi?

Itinerario ideale negli Stati Uniti Occidentali? Non è facile da costruire e di sicuro ci sono tanti chilometri da fare.

Siamo tornati ormai da una settimana e io mi sono buttata a capofitto nel lavoro. Nei prossimi giorni vederete ancora molti post relativi alla nostra vacanza in America ma oggi voglio condividere con voi quello che secondo me è l’ itinerario ideale negli Stati Uniti Occidentali. Per ogni tappa troverete il link al relativo post che spiega anche dove mangiare e dormire.

1. Siamo atterrati a Los Angeles pernottando a Santa Monica per due notti. E’ importante cercare di acquisire quanto prima,  il fuso orario che come sapete, è 9 ore indietro rispetto all’Italia.
2. Con la macchina siamo andati a Carmel, dove abbiamo pernottato, e Monterey. Per arrivare a Carmel ci vogliono circa 6 ore di macchina ma nell’avvicinamento a San Francisco è una tappa necessaria.
3. Da Carmel ci siamo spostati a San Francisco, sono solo 2 ore di viaggio e preparatevi al freddo più intenso.
4. Da San Francisco con tre ore di viaggio siamo approdati allo Yosemite National Park, qui vi suggerisco di fare attenzione a dove pernottare. Noi abbiamo scelto il View Lodge e ve lo sconsiglio caldamente. Brutto posto, si mangia anche male. Almeno nella nostra opinione.
5. Saldando il Sequoia che è troppo fuori strada ci siamo avventurati nella Death Valley, sono circa 4 ore e mezza di viaggio ma la strada è davvero bellissima, si passa dal verde dello Yosemite al deserto del Mojave in poche miglia. nella valle della morte fa un caldo ferocissimo quindi passerete dal clima glaciale di San Francisco al vento caldo della Death Valley. Ah occhio alle tempeste di sabbia, noi ovviamente ne abbiamo attraversata una!!!
6. Dalla Death Valley a Las Vegas sono solo 2 ore e mezzo ma è una sosta (con pernotto) necessaria prima di arrivare al Grand Canyon.
7. Dal Grand Canyon alla Monument Valley sono circa 4 ore, qui vi conviene pernottare a Kayenta, sempre nel territorio dei Navajo.
8. Dopo la Monument Valley vi suggerisco di visitare il bellissimo Antelope Canyon pernottando al Lake Powell. Sono solo 2 ore di macchina da Kayenta.
9. Nella fase di riavvicinamento a Los Angeles è necessario fermarsi nuovamente a Las Vegas per poi in 4 ore di macchina rientrare a Los Angeles dove abbiamo passato gli ultimi 10 giorni. Non vi consiglio il soggiorno allo Shore Hotel però. Purtroppo abbiamo avuto una brutta disavventura con il loro Valet Parking dove ci hanno “allegedly” rubato il GPS senza assumersene la responsabilità. Tra l’altro sia l’albergo che il parcheggio costano tantissimo e non ne vale davvero al pena. Se volete un suggerimento vi consiglio il the Georgian Hotel, ma dovete prenotarlo un anno prima! Vi ho già detto quali sono le migliori spiagge di Los Angeles, per mangiare vi suggerisco il True Food, Patrick’s Roadhouse e The Lobster a Santa Monica, Craft a Century City.
10. Da vedere a Los Angeles: il Getty Center, Sunset Plaza, Hollywood ed il Dolby Theatre, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Muholland Drive, Century City Mall, Griffith Park, Venice Beach e Santa Monica.

We now have been back to Italy for a week and I threw myself headlong into work. In the coming days you will see still many post related to our holiday in America but today I want to share with you what I think is the ideal route in the Western USA.

We landed in Los Angeles and spent 2 nights in Santa Monica. It ‘s important to try to get acquainted with the time zone, which as you know, is nine hours behind Italy.
By car we went to Carmel, where we’ve slept, and Monterey. To get to Carmel it takes about 6 hours by car but in approaching to San Francisco is a necessary step.
From Carmel we moved to San Francisco, it’s  only 2-hour trip and get ready for the most intense cold.
From San Francisco with three hours of travel we arrived at Yosemite National Park, here I suggest you to be careful where to stay overnight. We have selected the View Lodge and I do not recommend it highly enough. 
We then ventured in Death Valley, that is about 4 and a half hours away but the road is really beautiful, it turns from the green Yosemite to the Mojave Desert in a few miles.
From Death Valley to Las Vegas they are only 2 and a half hours but it is a stop (with overnight stay) required before arriving at the Grand Canyon.
From the Grand Canyon to Monument Valley is about 4 hours, here it’s better off to stay in Kayenta, always in the Navajo territory.
After Monument Valley I suggest you visit the beautiful Antelope Canyon  It is only 2 hours drive from Kayenta.
In the phase of rapprochement in Los Angeles you need to stop again in Las Vegas and then in 4-hour drive back to Los Angeles where we spent the last 10 days. I will not recommend staying at the Shore Hotel though. Unfortunately we had a bad mishap with their valet parking where they “allegedly” stolen our GPS without taking responsibility. I recommend you instead the Georgian Hotel, but you have to book it a year in advace! I already told you what are the best beaches of Los Angeles, to eat I suggest the True Food, Patrick’s Roadhouse and The Lobster in Santa Monica, Craft in Century City.
Sightseeing in Los Angeles: The Getty Center, Sunset Plaza, Hollywood and the Dolby Theatre, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Muholland Drive, Century City Mall, Griffith Park, Venice Beach and Santa Monica.
