Il mio outfit firmato Stella Jean per Oxfam Italia è il secondo capitolo dedicato alla capsule collection che la bravissima stilista ha realizzato per Oxfam Italia. Io che non sono brava con le parole ho optato per una dimostrazione pratica…..

Il post di Alessandra, Stella Jean per Oxfam Italia e Coin, è un piccolo capolavoro. Se lo avete perso vi suggerisco di andarlo a leggere perchè è un concentrato di poesia e passione,

Io sono una pessima scrittrice, mi contraddistingue la pragmaticità, quindi ho provato a tradurre in un look quello che Alessandra ha scritto con tanta potenza.

L’outfit di oggi è forse il mio preferito di sempre, è il matrimonio perfetto e combinato tra le mie due anime, quella rock e quella hippie. E” tanto….me!

E’ dominato da tre creazioni della mia stilista preferita, Stella Jean che ha realizzato, in collaborazione con Oxfam Italia e Coin,  una capsule collection solidale a sostegno del progetto “Women’s Circle for Change“, la campagna di comunicazione e raccolta fondi incentrata sui diritti delle donne e sulla loro capacità di costruire un mondo migliore. 

Il coloratissimo gallo, simbolo di buon augurio, domina sia la camicia in cotone stretch che la clutch in pelle e tessuto, entrambe Made in Italy. Al polso un bracciale smaltato realizzato dalle donne di Haiti.

Sì perchè Stella Jean tiene moltissimo ad Haiti perchè è per metà haitiana. Le sue collezioni sono permeate dalle tradizioni tessili dei Caraibi (ma anche africane). “la moda non può e non deve essere una questione di latitudine” dice orgogliosamente Stella Jean. E ha perfettamente ragione non credete?

Volevo tanto conoscerla di persona per dirle che mi sono innamorata delle sue creazioni, collezione dopo collezione. Ma purtroppo, il giorno dell’evento, non mi è stato possibile essere presente. Le avrei anche detto che l’ammiro molto perchè ha saputo affermarsi senza tradire le proprie idee. E questo non è da tutti. Spero ci saranno altre occasioni, magari nei weekend dove è più probabile una mia geolocalizzazione in sede romana.

La nuova capsule collection in limited edition disegnata da Stella Jean ,è disponibile in esclusiva nei department store Coin Excelsior e Coin da metà novembre. 

Ringrazio la povera Esmeralda per queste bellissime foto e riconosco che….c’è dell’arte! Quando è lei la modella si inibisce e tenta di mimetizzarsi con lo sfondo ma come fotografa si è migliorata tantissimo!!!

I am a poor writer, pragmatism distinguishes me, so I tried to translate into a look what Alessandra wrote with so much power.

The outfit today is perhaps my favorite of all time, is the perfect wedding a between my two souls, the rock and the hippies one. It’s so …. me!

It’s dominated by three creations of my favorite designer, Stella Jean who, in collaboration with Oxfam Italy and Coin, created a capsule collection of solidarity in support of the project “Women’s Circle for Change”, the communication and fundraising campaign focused on women rights and their ability to build a better world.

The colorful rooster, a symbol of good luck, dominates both the shirt in stretch cotton and  the leather and fabric clutch, both Made in Italy. The third piece is an enamel cuff made by the women of Haiti.

Yes, because Stella Jean cares deeply about Haiti because she is half Haitian. Her collections are permeated by the textile traditions of the Caribbean (and also African ones). “Fashion can not and should not be a matter of latitude,” she says proudly. 

I really wanted to meet her in person to tell her that I love her creations, collection after collection. But unfortunately, the day of the event, I couldn’t attend. 

I would also say that I admire her a lot because she has achieved success without betraying her own ideas. 

The new limited edition capsule collection designed by Stella Jean, is available exclusively in Coin Excelsior and Coin department stores from mid-November.

Thank poor Esmeralda for these beautiful photos and I recognize that …. there is some art in them ! When she is the model she is inhibited and she tries to blend in with the background, but as a photographer she has improved a lot !!!
