Although it is not a color that I love particularly, today I tell you how to wear pink (in various shades) without taking the risk of looking like a runaway Barbie.

how to wear pinkIt is the favorite color of most women, except mine. But as every now and then I stumble on it today I will explain how to wear pink, or rather various shades of pink, without looking like Barbie’s ugly sister.

And in my case I could say: without looking like Barbie’s grandmother hahahahahahahahahaha !!!

As I said, pink is not my favorite color, although I have several little things in this color such as the tulle skirt with the stars that you have seen here.

But pink is everywhere, there are no female wardrobes. including mine, that don’t have a hint of pink here and there. Then of course there are only pink wardrobes but that’s another matter.

How to wear pink in a trendy look

The first rule is not to think like a Barbie unless that’s your goal.

Today there are many ways to wear pink and be fashionable.

In today’s look I wear a 24.25 Clothing bouclé jacket with various shades of pink. It is a classic jacket, perfect for going to the office which with some tricks can also be used for an aperitif with friends.

In this case I decided to wear pink with….. pink and with a hint of white.

But to avoid the doll or grandmother effect, I combined a classic color and classic garment with a pair of vinyl leggings (pink) and a belt with feathers.

To complete the look I chose a pair of white Aldo Shoes ankle boots that you have already seen here.

But pink can be played down in many different ways and one of the combinations that I love most is the one with red, as you can see in this post.

The combination of fabrics is also important, if pink is on a classic cut fabric or garment then it is better to combine it with a modern fabric such as jeans or vinyl.

Who is suitable for pink?

Conventionally, pink is the banner of all romantics and dreamers. I am neither, and I only use pink when I am conquered by a field of clothing or an accessory of that color.

And then there is also the question of hair color. Pink looks great on black haired, less well on blondes and is definitely contraindicated in redheads like me.

But you know that I don’t follow the rules and therefore I dress pink if I like the final look.
