Four places to visit in Puglia

Ci sono quattro posti che non dimenticherò mai di questa vacanza in Puglia.
Sono i quattro posti che consiglio di vedere se verrete in vacanza in questa bellissima regione: Alberobello, Ostuni, Santa Cesarea Terme e Specchia .
Quattro posti completamente diversi l’uno dall’altro ma accomunati da un tipo di architettura che le identifica chiaramente e da una serie infinita di invasioni.
Alberobello è ormai chiaramente diventata molto commerciale ciononostante i trulli, le costruzioni tipiche della zona e che sembrano tante casette di Pinocchio, sono tenuti molto bene e completamente ristrutturati. Se non fosse per la quantità industriale di turisti e di negozietti avrei detto di essere piombata improvvisamente nel mondo delle favole. Qui ho avuto modo di incontrare Alessia e  Daniele con cui abbiamo girato per le viuzze della zona monumentale. Un incontro fortuito ma graditissimo!

Ostuni la città bianca ma bipolare: in cima è chiaramente greca, alle pendici è più vicina allo stile moresco.
In ogni caso è bella da lasciare senza parole…..

Santa Cesarea Terme una città araba in Italia, un pezzo di Oriente incastonato nella costa pugliese. 
Non ho visto le terme me mi sono goduta questi magnifici palazzi e ho respirato per un attimo un’atmosfera da mille e una notte.
Consiglio: non mangiate al ristorante La Bettola.

Specchia, un gioiello, una perla rara. Tenuta come una casa per bambole. Piccola, piccolissima ma ad oggi è considerata uno dei borghi più belli d’Italia.

Insomma alla fine in tutta la vacanza ho comprato solo un paio di shorts!! NON CI POSSO CREDERE!!


There are four places I will never forget about my journey in Puglia.
These are the four places I recommend to see if you will ever be on vacation in this beautiful region: Alberobello, Ostuni, Santa Cesarea Terme and Specchia.
Four places that are completely different from each other but that related by a type of architecture that clearly identifies them and by an endless series of invasions.
Alberobello is now clearly become commercial nevertheless the trulli, the typical buildings of the area and that look like Pinocchio houses, are very well kept and completely renovated.
If it weren’t for the industrial quantities of tourists and shops I would have thought of being suddenly plunged into the world of fairy tales. Here I got to meet Alessia and Daniele with whom we walked around the narrow streets of the monumental area.

Ostuni, the white city,  it’s a bit bipolar: at the top is clearly Greek, downhill  is closer to the Moorish style.
In any case it is so beautiful to leave you speechless …..

Santa Cesarea Terme, an Arab town in Italy, an oriental piece set in the Apulian coast.
I didn’t see the spas though, but I enjoyed these magnificent palaces and for a moment I breathed the atmosphere of a thousand and one nights.
Tip: Do not eat at the restaurant La Bettola.

Specchia, a jewel, a rare gem. Kept like a doll’s house. Small, very small, but today it is considered one of the most beautiful villages in Italy.

So in the end throughout the holiday I just bought a pair of shorts !! I CANNOT BELIEVE IT !!

  11. Con questi tuoi post pugliesi mi hai proprio fatto venir voglia di un bel tour…Perchè mi sono resa conto di conoscere poco e niente e credo proprio che ne valga la pena!!! Beh, complimenti a te che sei riuscita a trattenerti dalle spese pazze, evidentemente eri troppo intenta a gustarti le meraviglie del circondario, no?!? 😛

  30. alberobello è stupenda!! le altre non ho avuto ancora il piacere di visitarle…la Puglia soprattutto il Salento è una delle mete più gettonate in fase di valutazione-vacanze! Arriva sempre in semifinale…prima o poi vincerà! 😉
