Arab fashion week: un’esperienza da sogno!

Qualche giorno fa ho preso nuovamente l’aereo (sta diventando più forte di me…non riesco a stare nello stesso posto per più di dieci giorni) con destinazione Dubai.
Eccomi pronta per partecipare all’Arab fashion week: tra le esperienze più emozionanti che ho vissuto negli ultimi mesi.
Ecco un breve racconto della mia partecipazione alla fashion week di Dubai. Un viaggio da “Mille e una notte” …ma prima di tutto ciò è stato veramente importante pianificare alcune cose tra cui focalizzarmi sulla scelta dell’assicurazione sanitaria viaggi giusta per me. L’Arab Fashion Week ready-couture e resort 2018 ha rinnovato il suo appuntamento a Dubai dal presso il Meydan Hotel & Grandstands.
Giunta alla quarta edizione (certo rispetto alle settimane della moda di new York o di Milano c’è ancora tanta strada e tanta esperienza da fare) la kermesse ha ospitato designer da tutto il mondo. Se New York, Londra e Milano sono le capitali simbolo del prêt-à-porter, e Parigi è l’emblema dell’haute couture, Dubai è l’unica destinazione del Ready-Couture. Oggi, l’Arab Fashion Week è considerata una delle principali cinque settimane della moda e l’unica che promuove il pret-à-porter e le pre-collezioni che definiscono l’industria internazionale del lusso a Dubai e nel mondo arabo.

Special guest della kermesse Georgina Chapman e Antonio Marras. La prima, attrice e stilista inglese, è giudice permanente nel programma televisivo ‘Project Runway All Stars’, e fondatrice della maison di high-end wear e couture Marchesa. Marras, designer italiano di respiro internazionale è invece chiamato a portare in Medio Oriente i valori e lo stile del Made in Italy. Questi ultimi, attraverso gli abiti che hanno presentato in passerella, sono stati in grado di farmi emozionare.

Il focus sulle pre-collezioni viene presentato a maggio, una data molto lontana rispetto ai calendari abituali della settimana della moda. Questo perché l’obiettivo è quello di incontrare gli interessi dell’industria di settore e quindi di quel 75% di consumatori che spende il proprio budget in acquisti resort. “Una nuova prospettiva che potrebbe presto essere seguita da altre organizzazioni, portando a una rivoluzione nel calendario annuale delle fashion week” sottolinea il cavaliere del Lavoro Mario Boselli, presidente onorario della Camera dalla Moda Italiana e dell’Arab Fashion Council.
